Submission Policies
  • Papers submitted should be written in English. The official language of the conference is English.
Presentation-only Papers:
  • Submit one-page presentation-only abstract papers for oral presentation in the conference. The accepted one-page abstract papers will be included in the conference proceedings. However, it will not be digitally archived in online-accessible Journal of Industrial Mechatronics.
  • Link to download the one-page abstract paper template.
Contributed Papers
  • Submit double-column 3-page no more than 4-page extended abstract papers for oral presentation in the conference. The accepted extended abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings as well as digitally archived in online-accessible Journal of Industrial Mechatronics.
  • Link to download the Extended abstract paper template.
Post-conference Journal Publication
  • Authors of accepted extended abstract papers may submit a 6-8 pages full-paper manuscript for publication in a special Issue of each of the following journals:
    • International Journal of iRobotics
    • MDPI Electronics - Unmanned Vehicles and Intelligent Robotic Systems (Introduction)
  • Contents of the full-paper manuscript should be significantly different from the corresponding extended abstract paper.
  • All manuscripts submiitted for consideration of publication in mentioned journals will undergo the same regular peer review process involving at least two reviewers of the mentioned journals. The Special Issue editors will follow the corresponding journal editorial process and make final decisions on the publication of the manuscripts.
Organized/Invited Sessions
  • ARIS 2021 welcomes proposals for organized/invited sessions within conference scope. Please put the proposals and the extended abstracts of all constituent papers in ONE electronic file when submitting. Please see Guidelines for Proposals for details.
Paper Awards
  • All accepted extended abstract papers (excluding one-page abstract papers) will be considered for three types of paper awards that will be offered in this conference, namely the Best Technical Track Paper Award, Best Conference Paper Awards, and Best Student Paper Awards.
  • Best Technical Track Paper Awards: Several Best Technical Track Paper Awards will be given to papers in each technical track. The technical track organizers and their reviewers will evaluate and select the best papers in their technical track based on the quality of the accepted extended abstract papers.
  • Best Conference Paper Awards: The best technical track papers will be nominated to the Conference Award Committee as candidates for the best conference paper awards. During the conference, the examiners will anonymously attend the oral presentations to evaluate the presentation of the papers.
  • Best Student Paper Awards: The accepted extended abstract papers authored and presented by students are eligible to identify themselves for consideration for the award. The evaluation criteria will include the paper review scores as well as paper presentations dedicated for the competition.
